Digital Forensics Lab

Launched in partnership with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, the Digital Forensics Lab serves as a regional hub and resource for law enforcement agencies investigating crimes with a digital component.

MCI has an in-house digital forensics analyst, as well as key hardware and software investments, to effectively support law enforcement partners and coordinate resources in an efficient manner. The first year of activity in the lab resulted in affiliations with 32 agencies and more than 550 devices processed.

The Digital Forensics Lab also works to bridge the gap in digital forensics training by regularly hosting training and information sessions.
